ICL’s Adel facility, located in Georgia, plays a central role in serving both agriculture and turf markets across the USA and worldwide. The plant produces a versatile portfolio of plant nutrition solutions, including leading brands such as Nova, Formula 1, CHALLENGE, X-TRA, Uptake K, and MULTI-SPRED (some of which are unique to the United States).
When the facility first opened in the summer of 2016, it employed seven people in a 2,600 m2 plant, with operations limited to liquid formulations. Since then, the site has grown steadily, both in scale and capability, while supporting customers throughout the United States and international markets.
The addition of railway access at the Adel plant has significantly increased shipping speed and capacity, ensuring customers across the USA benefit from an efficient, responsive service for their crop nutrition needs. With this infrastructure in place, orders can often be dispatched the same day or next day, helping farmers and turf managers access vital inputs without delay.
Today, the facility employs 19 staff members and covers more than 4,900 m2, after a 2,300 m2 expansion completed in 2023. This expansion introduced the ability to formulate dry, water-soluble fertilizers, alongside an automated dry bagging system, and a high-capacity 2,270 kg ribbon blender. With these capabilities, Adel has become a modern hub for both liquid and water-soluble dry fertilizer formulations, reflecting ICL’s commitment to innovation and growth.
The facility is equipped with two 13,000-liter blenders and one 5,600-liter blender, enabling the efficient production of liquid fertilizers for a wide range of crop and turf applications.
A key advancement in 2023 was the introduction of dry, water-soluble fertilizer processing, supported by a 2,270 kg ribbon blender and an automated dry bagging system. This addition allows for a broader product portfolio and more flexible customer solutions across both sectors.
The plant manufactures and distributes well-known ICL brands including Nova, Formula 1, CHALLENGE, X-TRA, Uptake K, and MULTI-SPRED, which are relied upon by growers and turf managers within the USA and worldwide.
With rail connections and a strategic location in Georgia, Adel offers rapid order fulfillment across the United States and to international customers, ensuring timely access to fertilizers for agriculture and turf management.
