This translates to additional returns per hectare and also the marginal cost benefit ratio for Onion crops in Indian conditions

The average bulb weight of A, B and C grade onion was 140, 90 and 70 gms respectively in ICL Practice whereas it was 120,80 and 60 gms in the Farmer Practice. The yield was 167 q/ha and 143 q/ha in ICL and Farmer Practice respectively. The additional returns per hectare was of ₹1,20,000/- with an MCBR of 20.
