This translates to additional returns per hectare and also the marginal cost benefit ratio for Bottle gourd crops in Indian conditions.

Bottle Gourd Yield increased by 23% during trials at Chikballapur, Karnataka
The average height of the Bottle gourd under Polysulphate treated was more, than without it. Also, the average weight per gourd also increased by 40% under Polysulphate than without it. The average yield under treatment T1 (with Polysulphate) was 16 t/acre while under treatment T2 (without Polysulphate) it was 13 t/acre. The Marginal Cost Benefit Ratio was recorded at 3.6
