In comparison with the existing Farmer practices, the ICL practice, via the usage of Polysulphate fertilizer, demonstrated a considerable increase in the Boll weight of the Cotton crop and the overall seed cotton yield per hectare. This translates to additional returns per hectare and also the marginal cost benefit ratio for Cotton crops in Indian conditions.

Cotton Yield increased by a whooping 47% during trials at Sillod, Maharashtra
The Average number of Sympodial Branches and Number of bolls were 16 and 80 in ICL Practice whereas it was 13 and 52 in Farmer Practice i.e 23% and 54% increase over Farmer Practice observed. Whereas the boll weight increased by 56%. The seed cotton yield was 35 q/ha in ICL Practice and it was 23.75 q/ha in Farmer Practice. The % yield increase was 47% over Farmer Practice. The Marginal Cost benefit ratio was 7.50
